Five places I would rather be

I am sure everyone has a list of countries that they like to travel to. I am no different and have my own list that makes me feel a slight ping of wanderlust. Okay, so slight ping is an understatement, the feeling is more of a yearning to also be able to travel and experience especially when I come across beautiful pictures of these destinations.
So have comprised a small list of 5 places I would rather be at right now. Hopefully, I will travel to one if not all of these countries. But for now, it is safe to say that there is a no harm in daydreaming about where I would rather be, even if it is while I am working. Can you guess which countries/cities I have selected?

Japan
Growing up as a teen, I was obsessed with reading mangas. Yeah, I bet you won't wouldn't have believed it unless I told you right? Trust me I was, and I loved anything kawaii {cute} hello kitty which isn't really a manga? but anything Japan related. Their country is so pretty and famous for their manner. But as I grew older the idea of going there just seemed less likely, and I put Japan on the list of places I would love to visit but highly unlikely that I would. That is, until recently, I have been reading a lot of online blogs and articles that say that Japan is now trying hard to cater to Muslims and have opened a lot of halal friendly restaurants and have 5 airports that have the prayer room. Which gets two thumbs up from me, A; because praying while travelling is important, let's not forget the dua of the traveller is accepted. And B, because I love to eat, and knowing that a restaurant sells Halal food, and I don't want to over-think about where I would be able to eat and read ingredients, is a life saver when travelling. Which is probably why I would gear towards countries where I know can feed me well.

Turkey
Out of all the countries in this list, turkey is the one closest to home, as it is in Europe. This country has so many historical buildings, I can't wait to get lost in the streets and walk around petting the street cats, I love cats. It doesn't help that I am currently watching a Turkish drama that pretty much shows off Istanbul City, thank you Kara Sevda! I also believe that this city is probably the most affordable right now. Also, another reason is because I love Turkish food, so if I can eat well I am happy.

Santorini
Santorini is the newbie in the list. I remember seeing this white washed city on so many bloggers websites and Instagram, that I was instantly drawn.  I thought where is this place and how can I get there?  I don't want to go there just because everyone else is going there. There is something about the buildings as the view that look so serene I would love to just walk around and take pictures. The best way to describe this place is that it is photogenic island perfect for long walks with great company.

Seychelles
Seychelles, just looking at these pictures you would be crazy not to want to go. The beach, the sands it is hard not to book a trip there and jump on a plane right now. Oh I love beaches there is something calming about the sea, it makes me think to relax and reflect. The perfect place to de-stress and enjoy life. Also, the country has a Mountain and rainforests, I have never been to a rainforest so the idea is alluring. Plus there are halal friendly hotel packages to the Seychelles, YES!

Palestine
Palestine is always in my heart. It was one of the countries that I  was taught about as a child and has always touched my heart. The country has so much historical importance, as well as religious. As a Muslim, we are taught about the three holiest Masjids in the world. Al-Masjid al-Haram which is in Makkah. Al-Masjid an-Nabawi which is in Madinah and finally Masjid Al-Aqsa which is in Palestine. Each mosque has its importance and rewards when you pray there. For some strange reason I always thought that it would be hard to travel there, but always wanted to. I have travelled to both the other important Masjids, but this one was always on my mind. I wanted to travel to all three and experience each one, as well as see the country of Palestine its history and its people. So a few years ago I found out about some travel agencies that will do tours of the masjid as well has famous sites around the area. After that, I couldn't get the idea of travelling to Palestine out of my mind.

  2. 4/5 of these are my daydream travel destinations! Palestine though... To think about it has that significance, forgive my revert ignorance about this, I wasn’t really all into any religion at all before Islam came to my life. Btw I love your philosophy about GOOD EATS make travelling worthwhile.
