How to focus your duas with The Dua Journal

Ever since I saw The Dua Journal, I just had to get my hands on it! I'm sure it's no surprise that I'm completely and utterly fond of journals, notebooks and planning. Now, imagine my delight at finding a journal to note down all my duas! I mean, imagination isn't even necessary. Long story short - I obsessed over it for weeks until I finally got my hands on one. For free! That's right, I was lucky enough to win one of these life savers.

So what did I do when I got my hands on it? Squeal for hours, take hundreds of pictures, shove it in everyone's face and finally settle down with it? Spot on.

But something happened then.

I didn't write in The Dua Journal straight away. I couldn't. I sat, read through the pages, thinking long and hard. That's what this journal does to you. It makes you truly treasure your dua.

As I worked through my duas, I reflected on a few things. See, often when we're given free reign with duas, we ask all that we want from Allah, but it becomes repetitive. We ask for the same things over and over again. This isn't to say this is bad, (consistency is key when you want something) but sometimes I forget that there are more, plenty more things that I could be asking for, so why am I limiting myself? Why limit your duas to your own experiences, why not stretch out further and take advantage of what Allah has created?

And that's why I absolutely love this journal. A fresh new page for every dua gives me a chance to really acknowledge the beauty of asking Allah for all that I could wish for. It gives me a chance to clear my mind and ask myself how best to make the most out of what Allah is offering me.

The layout of each page is simple but productive. The date at the top, a carefully selected dua. The 6 sections for different areas of your life to focus on and reflect, thus become closer to Allah.
